Nongkhlaw Nook

Nongkhlaw, located 17 km from Mairang in Eastern West Khasi Hills, is a scenic village surrounded by lush forests and home to the Terot Sing Cave, a local tourist attraction. With a population of around 3,000, most residents rely on agriculture for their livelihood. The weekly market plays a key role in village life but generates significant plastic waste, posing environmental concerns. To address this and support local growth, the Nook empowers individuals by helping them discover their talents and contribute positively to the community.
